Beautify is our app, so weigh our take accordingly; every competitor fact below comes from that app’s own App Store listing or website, checked in October 2026. We did not run accuracy tests and report no test results. This list focuses on iPhone apps, notes which ones also run on iPad or Android, and compares what each says it analyzes.
What does a facial analysis app look at?
A facial analysis app reads a selfie and reports on some mix of four things: proportions and symmetry, face shape, eye shape, and skin. Rating-focused apps turn proportions into scores; style-focused apps use face shape to suggest hairstyles or glasses; skin apps look for visible concerns such as redness or pores. No single app here covers everything, so the best choice depends on which of these you care about. Our facial analysis page explains each element.
How did we choose these apps?
We picked iPhone apps that analyze a face from a photo and appear repeatedly in App Store searches for “facial analysis app” and related comparison articles. We compared them on:
- What the analysis covers: scores, face shape, eye shape, color, skin or style.
- What you can do with it: tips, routines, tutorials, coaching or tracking.
- Device support: iPhone only, iPhone and iPad, and whether there is an Android version.
- Pricing model: what is free and what needs a subscription.

1. Beautify - Glow Up
Best for: one scan that covers scores, face shape, eye shape and skin type, where every result opens into practical tips. Beautify returns eight scores out of 100 (Overall, Potential, Skin Quality, Facial Symmetry, Eyes, Nose, Lips and Cheekbones). Your face shape opens hairstyle and makeup tips, your eye shape opens makeup tips, and your skin type opens routines. A Glow Up Guide adds steps for skincare, hair, fitness, sleep and nutrition, and subscribers get ten makeup tutorials and an AI beauty advisor. It needs iOS 13 or later and has 4.4 stars from 1,100+ ratings on the US App Store (October 2026).
Limitation: Beautify does not do virtual makeup try-on or show you an edited “glowed up” photo, and it is English only. Results need Beautify Premium, a weekly subscription, with one analysis scan per week. See pricing.
2. Glam Up - Perfect Your Look
Best for: color-season analysis alongside face and eye shape. Glam Up’s listing says its facial analysis finds your “face shape, eye shape, skin tone, and all your facial features”, and a “Color Analysis scan” helps find your color season. It also lists “celebrity lookalikes” and “step-by-step makeup routines, and product recommendations”; its website says you can see “how you would look glowed up in your chosen aesthetic”. Analysis needs a subscription. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, has 4.5 stars from 33,000+ ratings, and its App Store listing was last updated in October 2024. See Glam Up alternatives.
3. LooxUP (LooksMax Face Rating AI)

Its website says its algorithm “evaluates jawlines, cheekbones, and proportions.” It is iPhone only on Apple devices and also on Android, with weekly to yearly plans plus extra analysis credits, and 4.1 stars from 1,300+ ratings.
7. Skan - #1 Skincare App
Best for: skin-only analysis with product matching. Its listing states “Skan is not a medical device.” It is iPhone only on Apple devices and also on Android, with weekly to yearly plans and 4.8 stars from 9,800+ ratings. Which facial analysis app should you use on iPhone?
Match the app to the part of your face you want analyzed. For scores plus face shape, eye shape and skin type with tips in one place, Beautify (our app) is built for that. For color seasons, look at Glam Up; for hairstyles and glasses by face shape, Hiface; for skin concerns and products, Skan; for looksmaxxing-style breakdowns and tracking, UCHAD, Maxxing or LooxUP. If you want the app on an iPad as well, Glam Up and UCHAD list iPad support.
Bottom line: what matters most when you choose?
Every app here reads one selfie, so results depend on the photo, and none of these apps publishes evidence that its analysis is accurate. Choose by coverage and by what you will do with the results, take photos in the same setup each time, and treat the output as suggestions rather than a professional assessment.
