This is our own app, so this is not an independent review. We are the Beautify team, and we wrote this page to answer what people ask before downloading, including the parts that may put you off. Where we describe what the app does, we stick to what you will see on screen; where we mention what users say, it comes from public App Store reviews.

Is Beautify legit?

Yes, Beautify is a legitimate app: a real iPhone app from a named company, on the App Store since January 2025, with a published pricing model and privacy policy. Whether it is worth paying for depends on what you want from it, which the rest of this page covers honestly.

What is Beautify - Glow Up?

Beautify - Glow Up is an iPhone app that analyzes a selfie and turns it into beauty scores, a read on your features, and a step-by-step glow-up plan. It is made by Indus Technologies Ltd and sits in the Lifestyle category on the App Store. You take or upload a selfie (the app suggests facing the camera straight on, in good light, with nothing covering your face), and results arrive on three pages.

What do you get from a Beautify scan?

A scan gives you three pages of results, and Premium adds tutorials, an AI beauty advisor and a history of past scans.

  1. Your Ratings: eight scores out of 100 for Overall, Potential, Skin Quality, Facial Symmetry, Eyes, Nose, Lips and Cheekbones. Our rate my face page explains each one.
  2. Your Characteristics: your face shape (oval, round, square, heart or oblong), eye shape and skin type. Each opens a page with makeup tips, hairstyles for your face shape, or routines for your skin type.
  3. Glow Up Guide: step-by-step sections for a skincare routine, hairstyle makeover, fitness, sleep and nutrition.

Beyond the scan, Premium includes:

  • Tutorials: ten step-by-step makeup looks, five steps each with tips: clean girl, no-makeup makeup, soft glam, e-girl, Barbie, full glam, K-pop idol, 90s supermodel, cottagecore and 70s.
  • An AI beauty advisor (BeautyAI in the app): a chat for makeup, skincare and product questions.
  • Scans tab: your past scans, kept so you can look back at them.
  • Sharing: you can share your results as an image.

How does Beautify’s pricing work?

Beautify is free to download, and everything that shows your results needs Beautify Premium, a weekly subscription. Premium unlocks your analysis results, the tutorials and the AI beauty advisor, and includes one analysis scan per subscription week. If you want to scan again within the same week, you can buy a one-off Superboost for extra scans. Current options are on our pricing page and in the App Store.

What should you know before downloading Beautify?

The most important thing to know is that you cannot see your results without paying. Some App Store reviewers say they were frustrated to find that results need a subscription, and one was unhappy that extra scans cost more on top of it. We would rather you know that up front than be surprised.

Other things to know:

  • iPhone only. There is no Android or web version.
  • English only.
  • One scan per week is included; more scans need a Superboost.
  • No try-on or edited photos. Beautify does not put virtual makeup on your selfie or show an edited “glowed up” version of you.
  • No progress charts or streaks. You can look back at past scans, but the app does not chart changes over time.
  • Not medical or professional advice. The scores and recommendations are suggestions. For skin concerns, talk to a dermatologist or other professional.

What happens to your photos in Beautify?

Your photos are used to run the analysis and are stored so you can see your past scans in the Scans tab. You can delete your account from the app’s settings. The full details are in our privacy policy.

What is Beautify’s App Store rating?

Beautify is rated 4.4 out of 5 from 1,100+ ratings on the US App Store (October 2026). Ratings change over time, so check the listing for the current figure.

Who is Beautify for, and who should skip it?

Beautify suits adults who want a structured starting point for a glow-up and are comfortable paying a weekly subscription for it.

Beautify is a good fit if you:

  • want your face shape, eye shape and skin type identified from one selfie, with tips for each
  • like a step-by-step plan across skincare, hair, fitness, sleep and nutrition
  • want to learn makeup looks in steps and ask follow-up questions in a chat
  • use an iPhone

You may want to skip Beautify if you:

  • want to see results for free before paying
  • use Android or want a web tool
  • want to preview makeup or a “glowed up” photo on your face
  • want progress charts, streaks or daily scans
  • are looking for a medical skin assessment

Scores are a tool for deciding what to try next, not a measure of your worth.

Bottom line: is Beautify worth it?

Beautify is a real, iPhone-only app that gives you scores, your features and a step-by-step plan from one selfie, with tutorials and an AI advisor included in Premium. The trade-off is that nothing is visible until you subscribe, and one scan per week is included. If you are fine with a weekly subscription and want a guided plan rather than a single number, it is worth a look; if you want free results or Android, it is not the right app.
